This event has a personal meaning because in 2014, I received a bone marrow transplant after struggling with CML (Chronic Myloid Leukemia) for 16 years. I survived those years with several study medicines which gave me hematological response but never cytogenetic response. My last resort was to receive a bone marrow transplant from an unrelated donor. If he had not signed up on BE THE MATCH, my chance of a successful transplant might not have the happy ending I have had. It is going on two years and I have 0% leukemia! 

There is a cure for many who have blood disease and that cure could be YOU! It is very easy to join the registry! Just go to www.bethematch.org.
